“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life from the holy city and from the things which are written in this book” (Revelation 22:18-19).
We can see God’s attitude towards additions or changes such as the false worship given by Cain because he brought the wrong kind of offering and by the death of Nadab and Abihu because they offered a strange fire on the altar.
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God and keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil.” (Revelation 22:13-14)
