The Church of Christ is a 21st century church which is built according to the blueprints of Christ’s original church of the first century. We live and worship just as the Christians of the first century did. New Testament Christianity is a wonderful basis upon which all believers in Christ can come together, which is absolutely solid ground. If we do just what our Lord commanded, we know that our salvation is certain.

We strive to speak where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent in all matters that pertain to religion. We believe that we are striving to pattern our doctrine, our faith, and our worship on the Holy Word of God. At the very least, that is our sincere intention. We pray always that God enlightens our path as we seek to please Him through our obedience of faith.

We believe the following:

* Jesus built ONE church – Matthew 16:18
* Jesus is the ONLY head of the church – Colossians 1:18, Ephesians 1:22-23
* The bible is our ONLY instruction – 1 Peter 4:11, Luke 21:33, Galatians 1:8
* Baptism is IMMERSION in water and IS a requirement for salvation – Acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21
* Only those who demonstrate their faith through obedience to the commands of God will enter heaven – Matthew 7:13-14, Matthew 7:21-23, John 14:15

New Testament vs Old Testament

You will hear the New Testament used as the authority for our actions and teachings. This is because the Old Testament was given as a “schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ” (Galatians 3:24) but when Christ came, He took the old law out of the way (Colossians 2:14). Of course, the Old Testament is still valuable for our learning (1 Corinthians 15:4) and admonition (1 Corinthians 10:11), but we would not take it upon ourselves to try and justify our actions by a law Christ nailed to the cross (Galatians 5:4).

“If ye love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15).

These are some of the things people sometimes look to and wonder about when they consider the church of Christ. But the answer is very simple, the church of Christ is people who love Christ and follow His commands. As such, we must be as the early disciples who, when faced with the decision whether to follow the will of God or the things popular with man, proclaimed, “We ought to obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29).

The churches of Christ greet you. - Romans 16:16

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We want to be the congregation that God expects us to be and we hope you will join us and help us to be that church.
